Some houses are quiet.
Others listen.
After the death of her mother, Grace Monroe returns to a long-abandoned family property she has spent most of her life knowing only through stories. She isn’t going alone. Beside her is Evan, the man who has been part of her life for as long as she can remember, her older sister Jenna, and three lifelong friends whose shared history stretches back to childhood.
What is supposed to be a simple weekend together, clean out the old place, settle what was left behind and finally close a painful chapter in Grace’s family history, begins with the kind of familiarity only people who grew up together can share. Old jokes. Old memories. And the uneasy feeling that some places remember the people who leave them.
Then an old radio begins to behave in ways it shouldn’t.
As night falls and a storm closes in around them, strange sounds emerge from the silence. Static seems almost deliberate. Familiar voices surface where no voice should be. And the longer the group remains inside the house, the harder it becomes to dismiss the feeling that whatever has been waiting there is no longer simply being heard.
It is listening back.
